When I discovered this knot I was completely inspired by it. Wanting to learn how to tie it went through half a spool of line. These two in the video explain it the best. The friction of the line if pulled too fast will glue the line together into a useless mess. The line is cooled and lubricated with saliva to keep the monofilament from becoming a snagged up mess. The guys demonstrate the usefulness of the knot in an aquarium.
